I am afraid I need to take a bit more time off from my daily paintings and sketches. I do mean to return to them, but for now I am incredibly busy and need to refocus a bit on my life and prepareing for our upcoming move. I'll still be painitng, but not sure it will be daily. I'll likely return to daily paintings and sketches after we have moved.

I am on this kick lately to revamp my life and how I live it. To lean towards a kinder, gentler path and tread more softly on our earth. This includes switching over to a more natural diet and beauty regimen. We are already vgetarian, though one day i would like to be able to give up cheese and be vegan. These samples were from a little Burt Bees kit that I bought and plan to try the products out to see if they are sometihing i will incorporate into my life or if i need to seek elsewhere. So far, I love the smells and feels of everything I tried. Guess we'll see. Part of the journey is getting over all of the pre-opinions that I might have after 30 years of using drug store products...

It's good to have a real moleskine again. they are such exquisite sketchbooks!

ok - reminder to self - when stuck with only a black and white printout - consult the colour digital image for nose colours :) Here is Beamer - completed.

I think he needs a bit more added to his nose, but he is almost there. This is my friend, Rommel's, dog.

ok - this one is wet all over, but I had to put int he centres of the now-imaginary flowers and finish this paintng off so it would rest. The yellow/ochre centres are NOT so glaring in person. The light flashed off every slightly damp part of the painting and amplified it. I'll replace the photo once the painting dries and I can scan it.

For now I have put away my oils. I am looking forward to getting dusty again and I have a gorgeous pet portrait to start with so tomorrow i hope to be good and dusty!
